How to Prepare for Your Junk Pickup Day

Booking your junk removal appointment is the easy part. A little prep beforehand means our crew can get in, get it done, and get out — usually in under an hour.

1. Sort Before We Arrive

You don’t need to organize everything into neat piles, but separating “definitely going” from “still deciding” saves time on pickup day. If you’re not sure whether something can be hauled, just ask when you book — most household items, furniture, and yard debris are fair game.

2. Clear a Path

Make sure our team has a clear, unobstructed route from the items to the truck. This is especially important for garage, basement, or attic cleanouts where stairs and tight hallways can slow things down.

3. Point Out Anything Fragile or Hazardous

Let us know ahead of time about anything heavy, fragile, or requiring special handling — old appliances, glass, or electronics. We’ll come prepared with the right equipment.

4. Decide What Stays

Double-check drawers, cushions, and storage compartments in furniture before pickup. Once it’s on the truck, it’s gone for good.

5. Be Ready for Your Window

We’ll give you a pickup window, not an exact minute. Having someone available (or clear instructions if you won’t be home) keeps things moving smoothly.

That’s really all it takes. Our Nevada County crews handle the heavy lifting, sorting, and disposal — you just point us to the pile.
